Please find attached a draft copy of the management letter from Crowe Chizek and Company LCC, KCTCS’ external auditor, regarding the A-133 audit of Federal Programs.  Please note that the management comment letter has findings regarding your college.  Please work with Jerry Davis, KCTCS System Director for Student Financial Aid to formulate a response to the recommendation(s).   A formal response is required by a college where a finding and recommendation are present in order for the audit to be complete.  Please know that your responses will be included within materials presented to the KCTCS Board of Regents at its December 2005 meeting.

 

Please submit your responses directly to Jerry Davis.  Mr. Davis will edit all college responses for a summary response for KCTCS.  This office will in turn include the summarized responses for the A-133 Audit of Federal Programs with other KCTCS 2004-05 Financial Report information submitted to President McCall for his review and subsequent submittal to the KCTCS Board of Regents. 

 

In order for us to finalize the draft report to President McCall and have bound and prepared for mailing to the KCTCS Board of Regents meeting in early December, we need your responses to Mr. Davis not later than Tuesday, November 1, if at all possible.  We apologize for the lateness of this correspondence, but the draft management letter was just received.
