The developmental course gave me a really good basics overview which has made this course easier to do.

Show how it relates to life.

Make it interesting. Find ways to break it down into simple form.

Teach as simple as possible and try to make it more fun.
Work with the students and offer individual time for the student and teacher.
Make sure all students understand current material before going on to something else.

Help students learn and understand the basic rules of math and also learn the steps in solving problems.
Be sure to show and explain to them how to work out the problems and do not show them several ways to work out one problem it will only confuse them.
5. What could SKCTC, the college, do to help all Developmental Math students be more successful?
Study guides/study programs.

Have smaller classes.

Test them very often to make sure they are understanding it.
Maybe smaller classes for more one-on-one education.
Teach as simply as possible and try to make it more fun.

There should not be such in depth. We don’t use it in real life as far as English in Math equations.

You might not use all you learn, but you will use some.
Study, don’t leave until you understand.
Study hard and ask questions about problems you don’t understand.
To always be in class, because missing one class could mess the rest of the semester up.
Listen to the teacher, do your homework, and work by yourself after class.
If you have trouble or need refresher take it.
Attend class.
Apply themselves and ask for help when they need it.

Always try and never give up.
Attend class regularly and use your resources such as tutors as you need them.
Just try to attend every class.
Try your best and ask questions if you need to. There is no such thing as a stupid question.
