College's PBL members attend state conclave Members of the Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College organization Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), recently participated in the Kentucky Spring Leadership Conference held at the Executive Inn Hotel and Conference Center at Louisville.
Chapter members, during the two-day event, participated in various workshops and competitions ranging from accounting to word processing.
PBL students who earned a first or second-place in the competitions are now eligible to attend and compete at the 2005 PBL National Leadership Conference slated for Orlando.
Southeast students and faculty who attended the conference include:
Cumberland/Whitesburg chapter – Elijah Buell, advisor; Kevin Lambert, advisor; Ashley Halcomb, Desktop Publishing Team, 3rd Place; Amanda Jackson, Desktop Publishing Team, 3rd Place; Goldie Baker, Accounting Principles, 3rd Place; Rosetta Bedwell, Impromptu Speaking, 5th Place; Marsha Wilson, Hospitality Management, 2nd Place; April Back, Job Interview, 2nd Place. Also participating were students Tamara Gibson and Mary Profitt.
