This includes but is not limited to blues, gospel, bluegrass, folk music, country music, and traditional mountain music. Crafts and Folk life Demonstrations: Swappin' Meetin' recruits craftsmen and demonstrators with various crafts and folk skills in an attempt 1) to preserve the Appalachian heritage of making and doing things by hand, 2) to teach others of the value of this heritage, and 3) to promote these skills in the hope that others will take an interest and continue the tradition.
It is preferred that artisans be able to demonstrate how their work is created.
