Dear Sir or Madam,

We first would like to thank you for visiting Leadership Harlan County United. I would like to take the time to tell you about our program. Leadership Harlan County United is a training and technical assistance program that builds teams of emerging leaders from differing boundaries of class, ethnicity, and geography. Selection is targeted to emerging leaders-citizens who have assumed leadership roles in their communities, but may not hold established positions.

Given the predisposition to collaborative leadership, the direction of the program is controlled by a team, or Steering Committee. Presently comprised of twelve community members, the group guides the recruitment and selection process, administers logistics of sessions, identifies facilitators, develops curriculum, and coordinates activities. LHCU is a non profit organization and conducts fund raising by it's sponsorship sub-committee. The program is housed at the Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, which provides support services and part-time staff.

Attached you will find documents that will explain it more in depth. Once again, thank you for viewing our site and feel free to contact us about any questions that you may have regarding Leadership Harlan County United.

Sincerely,

Paul L. Pratt
Dean of Business and Economic Development
