NARRATIVE/JUSTIFICATION FOR JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE

As established by state statute (KRS 164.350) [1], Board of Regents Policy 1.1 [2], and 1.5.1 [3], and SKCTC Board of Directors By-Laws [4],  there is a clear distinction between the policy-making functions of the governing board and the responsibility of the administration and faculty to administer and implement policy.  The management and operation of the College are overseen by the president, administration and faculty, while the responsibly for the governance of the college rests with the Board of Regents and the Board of Directors.
