NARRATIVE/JUSTIFICATION FOR JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE

The mission of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) is clearly stated in the Kentucky Postsecondary Improvement Act of 1997 (House Bill 1) [1] and in Kentucky Revised Statute (KRS) 164.580 [2]; moreover, these documents authorize the KCTCS Board of Regents and the SKCTC Board of Directors with the legal authority and operating control of the Institution.  The mission of SKCTC [3] is compatible with and supportive of the mission of KCTCS [4]. The mission of SKCTC was approved most recently in May of 2004 by the KCTCS Board of Regents [5], following revision by the college faculty and Board of Directors [6].
