NARRATIVE/JUSTIFICATION FOR JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE

Fund raising activities at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College are assigned to the Office of Development and follow generally-accepted fund-raising practices.  The Development Officer reports to the President/CEO of SKCTC  through the Assistant to the President / Dean for Institutional Advancement.  The college president/CEO has ultimate control of the Institution’s fund raising activities [1].

The College’s foundation, the Southeast Education Foundation, Inc, is a 501c(3) organization, recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.  The Foundation is affiliated with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and adheres to Board of Regents Policy 7.4 [2]; both the President of SKCTC and the Development Officer have membership on the Foundation’s Board of Directors, with the Development Officer serving as executive director [3].
