NARRATIVE/JUSTIFICATION FOR JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE

All administrators at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, including the chief executive officer, are evaluated annually, pursuant to KCTCS Administrative Policy 2.5 [1].

Each member of the President’s Leadership Team is evaluated by members of the Faculty (faculty assembly, which includes all faculty and professional staff) [2] and by three peers, assigned by their immediate supervisor; the supervisor considers the information gleaned from these sources as well as from the employee and makes a determination concerning the extent to which previously agreed upon goals and objectives have been met; a Performance, Planning and Evaluation Document [3] is then completed for the individual being evaluated and a performance rating assigned.

The President is evaluated annually by the President of KCTCS, who solicits information from the SKCTC Board of Directors, [4] and, at least every other year, the entire faculty and staff at the Institution.  The President of KCTCS also considers the College’s annual plan, which includes goals and objectives for the year, when coming to a decision about the SKCTC President’s performance rating.

The President’s Leadership Team and the President use the feedback from these annual evaluations to make improvements at the College and to set new strategic goals.
