Unified System

KCTCS will be a national leader in postsecondary education, exemplifying the dynamic, unified system of comprehensive community technical colleges.

  • Showcase the System with education and marketing efforts.
  • Maximize community-driven efforts to consolidate community and technical colleges’ functions, programs, and services.

Instructional Programs and Faculty

KCTCS will develop instructional programs of excellence with quality teaching.

  • Undertake a comprehensive program and curriculum review to ensure rigor, relevancy and effectiveness.

Student Success

KCTCS will expand access to responsive, innovative programs and services while ensuring student success.

  • Enhance access.
  • Increase enrollment.
  • Maximize financial resources for students.

Economic/Workforce Development

KCTCS will serve as the Commonwealth’s primary provider of workforce training.

  • Develop and implement a statewide comprehensive workforce development system to provide customized training.

Community Development

KCTCS will actively participate in the development of vibrant and nurturing communities.

  • Strengthen community relationships.
  • Promote the development of healthy children.

Partnerships

KCTCS will strengthen and develop partnerships that expand educational opportunities and leverage resources toward achievement of the Commonwealth’s 2020 Vision.

  • Provide responsive processes and procedures for the use of technology.

KCTCS will expand and use its fiscal and physical resources effectively and efficiently.

  • Pursue aggressive resource development strategies and promote initiatives that result in cost-effective operations.
