Disposition: Bell County Fire Department responded to call from Pineville Campus

Description: A compressor discharged Freon in the front area of the classroom building at the Pineville Campus of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and was noticed at approximately 1:10 pm. Because the Freon was mistaken for smoke the building was evacuated immediately and the local Bell County fire department responded to the call. The Freon leak was brought under control and confined to the specific area of the compressor with no structural or interior damage. The building was cleared for reoccupation by the Bell County fire department.
