The Nutcracker: as adapted by Robyn Bingham

THE NUTCRACKER was first presented on the SKCTC stage in 1996 and has become a Christmas tradition at the Godbey Appalachian Cener Theatre. It is based on Tchaikovsky's classic Nutcracker Ballet. Over 75 students and community members are participate in this production.

The story is of a young girl who has a dream in which she is attached by King Rat and his army of mice. She is rescued by the Nutcracker Prince as the audience is swept into the dream world of snowflakes, flowers and magic. The production is directed by Robyn Bingham with costumes by Jeanine Huff and special effects by Michael Corriston.
