PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College Office of Academic Affairs is to provide leadership and support for the curriculum, faculty, and the academic mission of the college.  Academic Affairs coordinates all transfer, technical, and developmental programs and faculty professional development.

GOALS:

1)     To provide developmental curricula and courses that prepare students for collegiate-level studies. 

2)     To provide liberal arts programming suitable for transfer to baccalaureate degrees.

3)     To provide technical programming that meets employment needs or improves lifelong-learning skills.

4)     To provide appropriate avenues of intellectual development and professional growth for all SKCTC faculty.

5)     To ensure that students with any credential—degree, diploma, or certificate—can demonstrate proficiency in student learning outcomes that are applicable to the specific credential.

6)     To provide resources for the efficient and effective functioning of all academic programs at the College.
