Southeast Community College also offers several I.T. Certificate Programs. Any student who has completed all the requirements for the AAS degree in Information Technology will have earned an A+ Certificate and Information Technology Fundamentals Certificate along the way. In other words, you earn résumé building credentials as you work toward your degree.
Other certificates available include: Microsoft MCSA, Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCNA, CISCO CCNP.
Be sure to check out the Information Technology Certificate Program Sheet as well as other resources concerning the I.T. Program at:
The Program
The Information Technology Program is designed to provide students with real world, hands on experience in the field of computer networking. This includes instruction in computer hardware, software, web design, routers and the underlying technology upon which networks such as the internet are founded.
Program Requirements
All students are required to take the GENERAL EDUCATION CORE and the TECHNICAL CORE. A student must also choose one or more of the tracks on the right hand column in which to specialize. Only one track is required for the degree. However, a student may elect to choose courses from another track in order to fulfill technical elective requirements. In doing so many students choose to “double major” and graduate from both tracks.
Upon completion of the General Education Core, the Technical Core and one of the tracks, a student will have earned the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Information Technology GENERAL EDUCATION CORE
