Southease Kentucky Community and Technical College accepts as beginning first year students Kentucky residents who have graduated from high school and who have not attended another college. Scholarships

Students completing the associate degree are eligible for a scholarship through the Kentucky Police Corps. Students can receive $7,000 for their last two years of college and the first two years of employment if they work with a Kentucky police department or Sheriff's office.

 

 

 

 

 

The Program

The Criminal Justice Program as Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College has several objectives. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in law enforcement, corrections, loss prevention, and other criminal justice agencies.

The coursework is also structured to allow easy transwer to most four-year institutions that offer bachelor's degrees inCriminal Justice. The classes as SKCTC also permit professional working in the field an opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding of crime, policing, and corrections.

Program Options

A student may select one of four options:

  1. Criminal Justice
  2. Law Enforcement
  3. Corrections
  4. Security and Loss Prevention

A student may complete the Criminal Justive Option by taking three criminal justice electives from courses in any option.

A student may complete options 2), 3), ot 4) by taking the required courses for the option plus two criminal justice electives from the option selected.
